What would you have done?

It all started this morning when I decided to sleep in a little bit, ya know, catch up on some beauty sleep. The next thing I know, it may be a little too late so I just hurry and get ready and start driving towards school. It took a little over an hour to drive there because of all the construction so I ended up being late to class.

I rush into the class room and head for the back to find a seat and I sit down and just sit back to relax because everything should be a little bit more calm right? WRONG!!!!

I sit down and realize that everyone is looking at me and I'm like well, I know that I am looking good today, but come one this is too much people. And that's when I see a stack of papers sitting on my professor's desk. Are we getting a hand out today? OH NO! OUR PAPER IS DUE TODAY. My mind flashes to my finished paper that I worked so hard on, sitting on the floor of my bedroom!

In that instant I'm covered in a cold sweat, my face turns bright red, and I can feel tears filling up in my tear ducts. (I'm known for just crying when I don't know what else to do). I try my best to remain calm and text Chris to ask him what to do. He told me to go talk to my professor after class, so I do and I'm really nervous because if she says "to bad for you, it's too late to turn it in" I would just start bawling right there. So I tell her and she says that I can just email it to her.

After I talk to her, I still feel stressed and freaked out and still need to cry. So I call Chris and when I hear his voice I start to cry and I didn't know what to do so I hide in a little grove of pine trees on my cell phone and just cried, classy. SO what would you have done?

Utah Museum of Natural History

This past Thursday Chris and I decided to go to the Utah Museum of Natural History that is just on campus before their frog exhibit was gone. (Actually I decided...) Although I wanted to go for the frog exhibit we ended up walking through the whole thing. (Chris and I had a little fight over whether the frogs were going to be alive, I said yes, and he said No, it's not a zoo, it's a museum, to which I replied, I hope it's a zoo). Here is the story in pictures!

This is how the frogs started, is with this weird squashed frog.

This is the cage that the little frogs were in.

"THERE'S A FROG ON YOUR FACE" "....whaaa?"

Off to the mineral exhibit.

He is too sexy for his glasses haha.

Mining for Gold

Chris got spooked.

Me being subtle.

Off to the fossil exhibit.

Chris mentioned to me that he didn't want to get stuck anywhere with this thing... to bad its dead chris.

A cat lovers dream come true.

Back home..

** there were more pictures but sometimes I get really bugged with trying to put pictures on blog. I'll add them later.

Clutz...

So this is a warning: this post may be a little hard to understand. For you to fully understand I need to introduce a form of check fraud to you guys. Have you ever noticed that if you write a check it takes a few days to clear after the person has deposited it? Well there are evil people out there who like to write a check from there account to another account (that are at different banks) and before that check clears you write another check from account B and deposit it into account A and then before that check clears you write a check from account A and deposit it into account B, do you get it so far? ...to bad I'm moving on. This evil form of fraud is called check kiting. IT IS VERY ILLEGAL, but sometimes is hard to catch right away.

Now the story, I can't say much because there are things that I can't say to non-employees. So there were a group of friends and they were doing this with several different banks (were thinking there were about 5 different banks) so times that by 3 they were bouncing checks off each other and withdrawing cash that "wasn't really there" it just looked like it was there. Well the checks started to bounce and then we realized what was going on and by then it was too late.

Unfortunately, these people came to me A LOT! And none of the times I helped them did I put a hold on there checks. I'm such a dumby. Anyway this last weekend I was stressing over whether I would have a job on Monday. Well Monday was too busy to even deal with that so today I got to work and my manager pulled me aside while I was getting my teller window ready for the new day. While she was talking to me I set down my little treat that I brought to work down (a 44 oz sprite that I hadn't even sipped on yet) on the counter just over a $50,000 cash machine. My manager informed me that these bad people were professionals and they weren't going to fire me, but I was going to get written up. That's fine, I can still pay bills with that. Well right when she says this, I turn around and elbow my drink and it falls. and spills. right. into. the. cash. machine! My manager was p.o.ed! I can't believe I did that! The last time someone did this it was about $8000 to fix. Well when we left tonight the machine wouldn't work.

I think subconsciously I'm trying to get fired! What a week and what a head ache!

***The day after this post I was let go. Job requested...
