Dear Bed...
It's been awhile since we got to spend a lot of time together. I miss you. I don't want you to think that I am trying to punish you. I promise after my finals are over I will have more time for you. I know that our relationship will be able to handle this, we have been through worse I'm sure, I just can't think of anything this bad right now, I just miss you so much.
I can't wait until I can sleep in for real and not have to literally jump out of bed and RUN to my car because I only have 2 more minutes to get to a final in Salt Lake. Just three more tests and we can re-connect for hours on end.
Don't forget about me.

I offically HATE snow..
Well when I got there I thought to myself, his roommate is probably at work so I will park in his parking spot, and not on the road! So I start up the steep driveway... and my little car can't make it!! and I just slide right back down but I slid down crooked because who knows why! and this put me in traffic on 1300east so I just decided that my first priority was to get out of traffic.
To get out of traffic, I just decided to park in a spot that was right by Chris's driveway entrance and just call it good, but when I went to adjust my parking spot, I was stuck. Unbeknownst to me (I have always wanted to use that word) the parking spot I chose was nothing but a sheet of ice covered in know, topped with some more snow.. so I went to Chris and we started to work on it and, sure enough it was stuck for good. So we than decided that if we waited an hour or so, some of the snow would melt so we went in, and Chris started to try to work from home, and I being so distraught about the whole thing passed out, (this is where Chris claims that I started snoring, but I have never snored in my life so I think that he was lying).
Anyway, after about an hour we went back out to work on the car some more (and by "we" I mean Chris, because I was still asleep) but then I got up and went to check on him and he finally succeeded on getting my car out and up his driveway!! It only took all day and ruined all my plans. O well, at least I have my car again.

OH HAPPY #21!!!!
It all started when I had to wake up and rush to school and then I got done with school at around noon. I then went to Chris's house for a birthday lunch because I wasn't going to have enough time to see him any other time, so when I got there he had cafe rio for me and had this cute little piece of cake with 3 candles in it (he said it was like 2 and then 1 but that equals 3, says my 2nd grade teacher) and then he gave me my present. I decided that I would be annoying and start to tear little tiny pieces of paper off and make his room a mess, unfortunatly he caught on too fast, so then I just opened it and was staring at a white box with words about batteries and I looked at Chris and I said, "Chris, I don't know what this is..." and so he told me to open the box and when I did one sentence stuck out in my mind it said "congratulations on getting a new laptop" HOLY COW YOU GOT ME A LAPTOP!!!? It is so much nicer than my old laptop and I love it so much!!! It has all these way sweet features, like when I log in, it recognizes my face instead of me having to enter in a password. and it has a HUGE screen, and it's just the bomb.
Anyway, after I got my laptop I had to go to work. I worked from 4-10. yeah kinda lame, but my work got me a really cute card (with a picture of a cute little kitty on it, how fitting). and I also got a card from my grandma that was cute. I guess it could have been a lot worse! And tomorrow is Friday and Chris and I are going to celebrate my real birthday officially tomorrow. DINNER AT THE ROOF, WHAT UP!!

Happy Halloween!!!

I didn't even know what I was thinking, but this year I forgot to take pictures of my Halloween!!! Chris dressed up as Toad (pictured above) and I didn't dress up because I realized that there was no way I could out do last year (I was a cat lady).
For Halloween though, Chris and I carved a pumpkin. I don't even remember the last time I carved a pumpkin, and let me tell you I have been missing out. I never liked it because I hated taking the "guts" out of the pumpkin, but this year chris did that part and we each carved half of a "screaming" face. I looked pretty dang good (and you'll have to take my word for it, because I didn't take a picture of it).

What would you have done?
I rush into the class room and head for the back to find a seat and I sit down and just sit back to relax because everything should be a little bit more calm right? WRONG!!!!
I sit down and realize that everyone is looking at me and I'm like well, I know that I am looking good today, but come one this is too much people. And that's when I see a stack of papers sitting on my professor's desk. Are we getting a hand out today? OH NO! OUR PAPER IS DUE TODAY. My mind flashes to my finished paper that I worked so hard on, sitting on the floor of my bedroom!
In that instant I'm covered in a cold sweat, my face turns bright red, and I can feel tears filling up in my tear ducts. (I'm known for just crying when I don't know what else to do). I try my best to remain calm and text Chris to ask him what to do. He told me to go talk to my professor after class, so I do and I'm really nervous because if she says "to bad for you, it's too late to turn it in" I would just start bawling right there. So I tell her and she says that I can just email it to her.
After I talk to her, I still feel stressed and freaked out and still need to cry. So I call Chris and when I hear his voice I start to cry and I didn't know what to do so I hide in a little grove of pine trees on my cell phone and just cried, classy. SO what would you have done?

Utah Museum of Natural History

This is how the frogs started, is with this weird squashed frog.

This is the cage that the little frogs were in.

"THERE'S A FROG ON YOUR FACE" "....whaaa?"

Off to the mineral exhibit.

He is too sexy for his glasses haha.

Mining for Gold

Chris got spooked.

Me being subtle.

Off to the fossil exhibit.

Chris mentioned to me that he didn't want to get stuck anywhere with this thing... to bad its dead chris.

A cat lovers dream come true.

Back home..
** there were more pictures but sometimes I get really bugged with trying to put pictures on blog. I'll add them later.
Clutz...
Now the story, I can't say much because there are things that I can't say to non-employees. So there were a group of friends and they were doing this with several different banks (were thinking there were about 5 different banks) so times that by 3 they were bouncing checks off each other and withdrawing cash that "wasn't really there" it just looked like it was there. Well the checks started to bounce and then we realized what was going on and by then it was too late.
Unfortunately, these people came to me A LOT! And none of the times I helped them did I put a hold on there checks. I'm such a dumby. Anyway this last weekend I was stressing over whether I would have a job on Monday. Well Monday was too busy to even deal with that so today I got to work and my manager pulled me aside while I was getting my teller window ready for the new day. While she was talking to me I set down my little treat that I brought to work down (a 44 oz sprite that I hadn't even sipped on yet) on the counter just over a $50,000 cash machine. My manager informed me that these bad people were professionals and they weren't going to fire me, but I was going to get written up. That's fine, I can still pay bills with that. Well right when she says this, I turn around and elbow my drink and it falls. and spills. right. into. the. cash. machine! My manager was p.o.ed! I can't believe I did that! The last time someone did this it was about $8000 to fix. Well when we left tonight the machine wouldn't work.
I think subconsciously I'm trying to get fired! What a week and what a head ache!

The time has come..
In Kaysville Utah it is illegal to go into a convince store after dark without an ID
In Monreo Utah there must be daylight visible inbetween two dancer partners
In Provo Utah throwing a snowball will result in a $50 fine
In Logan Utah women are not allowed to swear
The time has come to force myself out of bed before 11 am and actually do something with my life besides looking up dumb facts. Yup as it is for many of my reads (cousins :D) school starts tomorrow. Because of one of my posts I thought that I should let you know that I am not totally a failure at life. This semester I'm taking all business classes to see what comes of that. I will be doing the business major generals and then I will have to choose a specialty as of right now I chose business admin. Cross your fingers people I might have some direction in my life! Holla

Age
I think I have finally understood what it feels like to be old. I used to want nothing but to be out of my teens and now I'm embarrassed to tell people. I don't understand this complex feeling.

The response to {cousin}
- I love my brown eyes. Even though everyone these days has brown eyes in my right eye i have a freckle!
- I love my toes. They are long and I can pick things up (the oddest thing I have picked up is a golf ball). Its very hand when my hands are full with a laundry basket and one single sock falls out!
- I love my freckles. I heard in my biology class that freckles are a rare dominant gene!! GO ME!
- I love being so short! One Saturday Chris and I went to his grandma's house to pick raspberries, and lucky for me all the best ones were at the bottom of my bush, where no one else could see them.
- I love my scars. Even though sometimes people hate there scars mine have funny stories behind them and they have taught me very valuable lessons. (i.e. don't rest your knee on the propeller of a boat to get back in the boat!)
There I feel better about myself!! Bring on the junk food once again!

It was so dark, the flash hurt my eyes.

I managed to keep my eyes open and Chris's little
sister jumped in! What a spectacle.

My Rant II
- No one loves to be at work. Its called work for a reason. So lets just all make it better and when your boss asks you to do something stop complaining and do it. Next time you say the "F" word toward your superior I will bunch you in the mouth.
- Believe it or not, I am human. So is everyone else. That is why we can fix mistakes very easy, because snot happens. Do not come in and tap your gay little fingure at me and tell me that I gave you stupid ugly boyfriend attitude and wrote your rent check out wrong and I don't know how to do my job when YOUR dumb gay boyfriend doesn't know how to spell it. It's ok I can fix it. (I'm not gay bashing... just don't be a jerk)
- Smiling when you don't mean it, really isn't that hard.
- Again, I'm human sometimes every couple of hours I need a bathroom break don't get up in my business because I was gone for 4 mintues. You'll survive I promise.
- Shower: (shou'er) verb: to bathe oneself in a shower. Learn it, use it, than for gosh sakes SHOWER... getting wet in the rain doesn't count! and we have a BIG problem if you can't smell yourself sweetie. Because you have some stink going on sir!
- Do you really think that it was a good idea to cash your pay check when it is over a few thousand dollars and then go walking around downtown Salt Lake City? Because if you feel safe, I will take it upon myself to introduce you to some very dishonest people. (i.e. Mr. Nascar)
Other than some quite colorful people (not a racial comment). I really do enjoy my job and I feel very grateful to have a job that is relatively good paying in a bad econmy and knowing that I am doing better than other people.. kinda some job security there.
So June...

"Hey, look! Me made shelter!"

After two full days, one in the pouring rain
One night freezing to death and the other day in the blazing sun.
We made it alive to the house boat.

Yeah, I made a friend

Than, Chris decided to make a sandcastle.. and I said "right..."

But he conquered!! And turned that pile of mud into this…
He said it was my future home, I just hoe when the time comes
He makes it a little bigger so I can fit in it.

Life of the Indecisive
(this is what it will look like if I don't pick a major soon)
It all started with finals week. I barely made it through that alive, mind you at the end of finals week I changed my major from Computer Science, to Elementary Education. That same week I had been interviewing at Mountain America Credit Union for a Teller position. (Or as they call it an MSR, member service rep.) I got the job and spent a week and a half in training, and moved back to my parents house. 8 long hours a day of just sitting and listening to things that I already new about. (Because as many of you know, I already know everything, why I'm spending so much time and money in college, I have no idea). Once training was over I went to the branch and started to teller at the new credit union with new rules and computer software and try to pretend I know what I'm doing.Well summer school started and I was doing really good for a few days with my two online classes and my one in person class, when I decided, I really don't have enough patience for kids to have it be my job for the rest of my life... and so I dropped all my summer classes and now I'm major-less (any suggestions would be wonderful, keeping in mind I have tried Business IT, Computer Science, Math, Computer Science again, Elementary Education, and now homeless).
Other than work and school, Chris has started to play a rec softball league and I went and watched. They're first game they one 30 to 14 or something embarrassing like that. One of Chris's friends wife is on the team and I thought "Hey that would be fun," but after watching the game (watching - wŏch (verb): To pretend to be fully alter of your surroundings when in reality you are reading a book and listening for whizzing foul balls.) I remember my pitiful gym grade and decided to let Chris be the athletic one, and I'll stick to running.

Wallets
I woke up and it was a beautiful day. I realized I slept in so I had to hurry to get in the shower and get off to school, because in my first class (math) I had a test. I quickly got ready and ran off to school, a few minutes late, I rushed and made it to the point of the mountain in RECORD time. Too bad I didn't have enough gas to get to school. So I got off as soon as I saw the blue signs that sad, "Hey Ash, theres a gas station right near!" and I said "O, THANK YOU!!" So, I got off the free and started for the gas station, and to my surprise, the gas station was rather far out of the way! But then I found it, quickly pulled up to the gas pump and realized "MY WALLET!!" and then the picture of my wallet being in my purse on my bedroom floor crossed my mind. My wallet was in Orem and I was too far away to drive back without running out of gas, and still make it in time for my math test. I had no idea what to do, so the only thing I knew how to do in this situation was *drum roll* bawl my bloody eyes out. And boy did I ever! To tell you the truth now I'm exhausted.
So now let me tell you how I got myself out of this mess. I calmly remembered, "hey Chris works right near here." I calmed myself down enough to call him and when he answered I calmed down and said "Um, hey where are you? What are you doing?" and when he told me he was at work and asked what was up with me I lost everything and started to bawl. Then Chris put me on hold and put on his Knight's Armor and got the address where I was and went to find me. So I sat at the gas station and waited, and cried, and waited, and tried to not let other people see me cry. I sat there and watched people come and go and then I realized, I only had 10 minutes until my math test. And I started to panic and cry harder, I called my dad and he gave me his credit card number to see if the gas station would let me try that but they didn't have a way to enter credit cards manually. So I went back to my car and waited and Chris came and got me some gas, and I just sobbed in front of him for like what felt like an hour. Then I got in my car and had -10 minutes to get to class. So I got on the free way and decided that I was going to miss my math test so I wouldn't get a speeding ticket and make it worse. Fortunately my professor drops the lowest test score and it was the last test so I'm not too worried about it. I calmed down and got to my exit and went to stop at the stoplight, and my box of frootloops fell off the chair next to me upside down and all my frootloops fell out! and the tears started to roll again... wonderful

Rant/Public Apology II
First of all Happy Easter to everyone!
Let me just say that in the last little while I have seen many cases where people think, "life is so hard" because they don't have the money to buy things that they don't need. whether it be a house, a tv, a car, what have you. (don't worry I agree sometimes life doesn't give you lemons, but THROWS them at you). But I think that we all just need to look at everything from a different perspective. If you are reading my blog, things aren't that bad because you have a computer and the Internet. If you have a computer you probably are in a house or some sort of roofed building, therefore you are probably clothed and fed. Yes, the economy sucks and life is hard and getting harder. But. Things. Aren't. That. Bad! Everything. Is. Going. To. Be. Ok!
Public Apology:
Chris and I got in a bit of on argument. On what you ask? That girls aren't as good as boys in the workplace. I was furious. His main argument was that girls have breakdowns and put their emotions in everything and boys are just willing to get things done no matter whose feelings are involved. Of course I tried my hardest to defined my women and it turned rather heated so we both had to stop before I did something drastic. So the apology part, after we just talked about girls having breakdowns, I went home and realized, I had a bad day (working at a greenhouse in the pouring rain and cold is kinda unpleasant). So I thought, I'm going to take a hot shower. I get in the shower and turn the tub facet into a shower and all the sudden I realize there was on of these crawling up the wall and the shower made it fall on me. I frantically got it down the drain and curled into the fetal position and just cried. All I wanted to do was take a shower and I was attacked. So even after defending girls in the workplace because they break down and once a little (scary) bug comes at me I break down. Sorry Ladies.

The greatest day ever...
So Sunday's I have made it a habit to go to my parents house, so this last Sunday was no different. As I was driving from Orem to Farmington my car's check engine light went on. I just assumed that I had to get my oil changed because I was almost 2000 miles past due (even though the date was for April 19). So Monday (being yesterday) I woke up early and went to get ready to take my car to get the oil changed, and I also had received my state tax return ($51!!) and thought while I'm out I might as well deposit my check and get my oil changed all in the same outing because they are only across the street from one another. Well when my mother heard all my plans she got excited because the post office is right in the middle of the bank and the oil changing place and asked if I would drop some of her stuff off for her. I told her yes I would.
Here's where it gets exciting. After I got my oil changed, I turned my car on and the check engine light was still on... lame. I called Chris to let him now that I was extremely bugged and while on the phone with him I headed for the mail drop, where grabbed all the envelopes from my purse and put them in, and started to head for the bank. I got to the bank and went to pull out my check from my purse so I could write up the transaction ticket.
My check was gone.
Everything clicked for me right then. I had left my check in an envelope and put it in the mail drop with the rest of my mothers stuff. I ran as fast as I could (well drove) back to the post office stood in an extremely long line to talk to the meanest person ever and try to explain what had happened, and finally she sent someone out to the mail drop with me to try and look for my check. I explained to the fine gentlemen quite a few times that "no, I can't just wait for it to come back to me in the mail, because its only an opened envelope with a check in it, the parcel doesn't have my address on it any longer, and the check was already signed with my account number on it" finally about an hour later, we found it. I took it back to the bank and deposited it. Meanwhile my check engine light was still on the entire time. I took it to a family business down the street called Haugen's. If you are ever in Farmington and your car needs repairing, go there they are really nice and won't mess around with ya. They found out that a valve by my gas tank went out and had to be replaced.
Long story short. I deposited $51. I spend $300. I hate cars.

AANNNDD, I'm sick again!
Have you ever had the feeling that life is just really great. Everything is great. I may have some things that could be better but *really deep breath in* life is just really great. Maybe it's just because it's almost Spring, maybe it's because I may or may not have overdosed on drugs, or maybe I just like breathing.
Laughing is probably the best time ever. I didn't feel the best and I was home alone. There wasn't anything funny on TV and I just needed to laugh. So... I decided that I should just annoy everyone else. Let's just say I'm still laughing. (My poor roommates and boyfriend)
Little kids have the greatest life ever. I love snack time. Nap time? UM THE GREATEST! Some times I wish just for a day or two I could go back to be a child. *Maybe if I really could just go back in time, my obsession with hide-and-go-seek, my ratty security blanket, and kid shows/movies wouldn't be so weird.*
I love sprite. The gas station didn't have sprite, they had 7up. Reluctantly I got 7up and cried all the way home. I was not grateful for this one, however.
Yesterday, right?, I went to open a closed door. The stupid door knob gave me a metal splinter. I cried to Chris and he was really great. He got out some tweezers and got it out, put some magical goo on it, and then put on a band aid. I was grateful for that.
nap time.

Joining the Banwagon
- I don't like people who think they are better than everyone else. We're all here for one reason and your mission isn't more important than mine. Lets just get along and try not to murder each other. (This rule does not apply for driving, thats just a free for all.)
- I love walking places. I noticed this when I moved out and I didn't get to walk out to the mail box anymore, so if you see me walking out to the end of the driveway and just turning around and going back, thats why.
- I get unreasonably home sick. Who knew.
- I observe smells way to much. So if your choosing to not shower for a while than maybe don't come around me, although most smells I enjoy. I noticed this at work in case you care to know, when I was working with flowers and every flower I worked with I shoved in my face and took a wiff.
- I don't enjoy walmart. The nicest people turn into the meanest people when they cut you off with your cart and you smile because "Its ok, I won't fight you in the parking lot even though you made me stop in my tracks, and yet you still managed to run my foot over with your cart full of boxes after boxes of 30 packs and baby clothes." They still think its MY fault that we are in this situation.
- People really get just too defensive over they're place in lines. "I am standing here! Not behind the person behind me, although I would like to be standing in front of the person who is front of me..."
- Life does not revolve around how many friends you have on facebook, or what "group" you belonged too in high school, it doesn't even matter what name brands you are or aren't wearing. It only matters if you can do the screaming pigeon and impress the yoga master in a local gym beginners class.

This is me packing...
- I have YET to sleep in... I wake up bright and early at 7, why? because my brain won't let me sleep in. Also, I can't sleep a full night. (Anyone wanna sell me ambien?)
- I have worked everyday this whole break. Not just worked, but been a slave proxy. I have sweated my guts out. Anyway wanna see my blisteres on my hands.
- I have homework, what teacher thinks that kids are going to be doing homework over the break?!
- I bought a new plant. It was so sweet. I had it in my hands for 14 seconds and went to love it ... it broke *almost* beyond repair. I cried. Thankfully my grandpa told me to put this white root poweder on it and put it in the greenhouse and it will grow back. but now have a little plant and I wanted a big one.
- I burned my self trying to eat macoroni and cheese.
- I went to go running this morning and the fireplace had turned itself on in the middle of the night. I had a heart attack and couldn't go running.
- I'm supposed to be packing, but I'm not... obviously
Thanks for listening to my rant I feel so much better.

My life as of right now!
Living at my grandma's house is so exciting and so fun. It can get lonely at times but it's always fun to just do whatever I want whenever I want (kind of, school has been calling the shots lately..) I love my roommates and our laughs together, especially when I come home to find a house full of people and we play a fun and silly 4 people on a couch!
School is going good! It is really keeping me swamped with homework because this is my first major where I am not taking any generals, all upper division major classes (this means lots of money! if you would like to donate to the cause please notify me; cash checks and food are accepted). I love being at the U though, even though it is usually about an hour drive to school and back every day! (I'll also accept gas cards now that I thinks about it).
Working at my grandparents greenhouse is... well never dull, that's for sure. I never know what to wear because some days I am freezing to death while I am planting bulbs in a greenhouse that isn't heated, and watering plants outside in 20 degree weather with a broken sprayer so water is dripping down my sleeve for and hour and a half. Other days I am in a greenhouse doing inventory or transplanting, sweating my guts out like a little boy going through puberty! (if you have any ideas let me know) as of right now I just wear three shirts so I can take off and put on clothes accordingly.
I miss my family and friends (the few that read this)! It's hard being so busy because I would like to visit home more, but it is forcing me to make a new life in Orem. Sunday I went to the singles ward for the first time and actually talked to people that I didn't even know! It was exciting and I think it's going to be a really good ward, the girls in that ward seem to really care about other girls and not want to be "back stabbing B's". I love you all (because if you are reading this you are either family or friends). Wish me luck and health (because yes, I am STILL sick).

Da Flu!!
It all started yesterday. It was supposed to be the day that I worked and when I woke up, I felt really weird and tingly all over, and it seemed like I couldn't get my shower hot enough, I just felt so cold. When it came time to eat I couldn't force myself to eat anything so I settled on a piece of bread and water. I went to work because I felt funny calling in sick when I only have one more week left. So I went thinking that I would just leave at lunch. I got there and I felt worse I just couldn't concentrate on my work and I wanted to go lay down. So I asked if I could leave after lunches, the loving answer was "well maybe at like five" (it was 12) and I flipped out (sorry to any workers reading this!) I informed him that just the day before he let my other supervisor leave early in the morning and we had SIX tellers that day and it was so slow at the time. So I told him that if I would leave anyway. Needless to say I was home in bed by 12:15pm (man I'm an attitude case haha).
After I took a nap I woke up and felt worse, but I was supposed to drive to Orem that night, so I got up and ate another piece of bread and drank more water and loaded up my car. I was supposed to bring my friend Kim along with me because she is moving down here as well, and we were going to go to a singles ward together today. On our way we stopped at wendys then got home to get ready for the night. Well her future roommates invited us to go and hang out with some BYU football players, during they recruiting night. We get there and the guys were so nice and it was so fun, and yes, they were SO attractive. Well I started to feel worse, and so I started to really crave my bed. Out of no where I felt even weirder, I jump up and run across couches, chairs and people to make it to the bathroom, close the door and take my scarf off and puke, like no one has puked before! (this is how I knew what I ate: two pieces of bread, chicken noodle soup, wendys burger, and two VERY bright dayquils!) So I felt a little better and I thought i had let it pass, so I left the bathroom and drank an entire water bottle.
Well it was late so Kim and I went home and mid-sentence I run to the bathroom and am puking with little Kim just outside the OPEN door. So, between heaves, I kicked the bathroom door shut while kneeling on all floors and ready to cry, haha! I then went to bed after. Key word "bed" not "sleep," needless to say I didn't get any sleep last night and I had a GNARLY fever. I woke up and Kim went home to Farmington. I have now been spending the last, I don't' know, year on the couch. Now, the reason for telling you this very graphic story is to promote flu vaccines, even though I, myself, am terrified of needles! I think that it's worth it. I wouldn't wish this upon anyone, so to those with hearts, I would really love a Sprite :(
