SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY!!!

I thought that I would post about my **BRAND NEW CALLING** I have been called to be a primary teacher in my parents ward. I now teach the 7 and 8 year old girls. Today was the first time I met them and my very first lesson. I was excited but when I got to sharing time there was a problem, my team teacher wasn't there today and I couldn't be with my class without another adult so I called my dad and made him get out of bed (he wasn't really in bed this is just my way of missionary work) to come and sit in with me. I was a little concerned that they would ask me a question that I wouldn't know the answer to but...

me: If you were making a bird house and your little brother wanted to help, what would you say to him if you wanted him to feel included?

Class: Well sometimes we make cookies on Sunday with the whole family and you know my great grandma is in the hospital, well she's really in a nursing home but this one time me and my other grandma made a bird house adn we visited my great grandma.

me: That's great! So your grandma had you help her (?) did it make you feel special?

No really though I love them all this is going to be a great calling! Wish me luck (and maybe answers to tough questions when I need them).

Congrats on the new calling! I teach the 7 year olds as well...we should swap stories. Except I also have little boys in my class...they add a whole new dimension.

Case in Point:
{on a lesson about accountability}
Me: What do you know how to do now that you didn't when you were a baby?
Them: Wipe my own butt!

Nice.
Good luck!
