I thought that I would post about my **BRAND NEW CALLING** I have been called to be a primary teacher in my parents ward. I now teach the 7 and 8 year old girls. Today was the first time I met them and my very first lesson. I was excited but when I got to sharing time there was a problem, my team teacher wasn't there today and I couldn't be with my class without another adult so I called my dad and made him get out of bed (he wasn't really in bed this is just my way of missionary work) to come and sit in with me. I was a little concerned that they would ask me a question that I wouldn't know the answer to but...
me: If you were making a bird house and your little brother wanted to help, what would you say to him if you wanted him to feel included?
Class: Well sometimes we make cookies on Sunday with the whole family and you know my great grandma is in the hospital, well she's really in a nursing home but this one time me and my other grandma made a bird house adn we visited my great grandma.
me: That's great! So your grandma had you help her (?) did it make you feel special?
No really though I love them all this is going to be a great calling! Wish me luck (and maybe answers to tough questions when I need them).

The time has come..
Did you know that..
In Kaysville Utah it is illegal to go into a convince store after dark without an ID
In Monreo Utah there must be daylight visible inbetween two dancer partners
In Provo Utah throwing a snowball will result in a $50 fine
In Logan Utah women are not allowed to swear
The time has come to force myself out of bed before 11 am and actually do something with my life besides looking up dumb facts. Yup as it is for many of my reads (cousins :D) school starts tomorrow. Because of one of my posts I thought that I should let you know that I am not totally a failure at life. This semester I'm taking all business classes to see what comes of that. I will be doing the business major generals and then I will have to choose a specialty as of right now I chose business admin. Cross your fingers people I might have some direction in my life! Holla

Age
Yesterday at work I was helping someone and she said "o, you ah bery wittle" (she was Asian..) and I said "O yes I am" and she says "o, ow old ah you" and that's when it hit me:
I think I have finally understood what it feels like to be old. I used to want nothing but to be out of my teens and now I'm embarrassed to tell people. I don't understand this complex feeling.
When I was 19, I hated to tell people that I was 19 I would always tell them that I was 20. Just because I didn't want people to know that I was still a teenager. "o that girl is a teenager lets stone her" was kinda what was going through my mind, right?
So this woman asks me how old I am and I had the hardest time saying 20. In my head I though "well I'm 20, but I don't really want to say that, what should I say? Well than again my mom always taught me to be honest, but a women never reveals her age!" so I said "20."

The response to {cousin}
After reading Cassidie's... I mean {cousin}'s blog, I thought to myself, "ya know what I think that it would benefit myself to do this" because yesterday I was feeling a little flabby because for some odd reason I just can't stay away from the junk food (holla!!). So here are some things that I really like about myself:
- I love my brown eyes. Even though everyone these days has brown eyes in my right eye i have a freckle!
- I love my toes. They are long and I can pick things up (the oddest thing I have picked up is a golf ball). Its very hand when my hands are full with a laundry basket and one single sock falls out!
- I love my freckles. I heard in my biology class that freckles are a rare dominant gene!! GO ME!
- I love being so short! One Saturday Chris and I went to his grandma's house to pick raspberries, and lucky for me all the best ones were at the bottom of my bush, where no one else could see them.
- I love my scars. Even though sometimes people hate there scars mine have funny stories behind them and they have taught me very valuable lessons. (i.e. don't rest your knee on the propeller of a boat to get back in the boat!)
There I feel better about myself!! Bring on the junk food once again!

The 4th of July. delayed...
Well the 4th started out great. I got to sleep in and I even "cleaned" my room, bathroom and car. (cleaned means that I just put everything away, by no means would I suggest that anything was clean enough to eat off of.) After that Chris came over and we watched "Jaws." I had never seen it before and Chris that was absolutely unheard of. And it turned out Jaws was a good movie to watch on the 4th because it takes place on the 4th! WHO KNEW! After which we went to my uncle's house on my dad's side and we got to under go the traditions of our fore fathers. If you ask me they don't make much sense: Let's eat outside in the dead of heat of the summer, cook with smelly smoke that very well could choke you, and eat the very foods that attract bees and mosquito's! Good idea guys. All in all it was fun and the food was way good!! After dinner Chris and I rushed to Kaysville and watched the Davis Fireworks with Chris's fam. Here is a pic:

It was so dark, the flash hurt my eyes.
(notice our awesome glow necklaces)

I managed to keep my eyes open and Chris's little
sister jumped in! What a spectacle.

My Rant II
Well I have been working at my new job for about two months now and I have realized a few things about how people bug me.
- No one loves to be at work. Its called work for a reason. So lets just all make it better and when your boss asks you to do something stop complaining and do it. Next time you say the "F" word toward your superior I will bunch you in the mouth.
- Believe it or not, I am human. So is everyone else. That is why we can fix mistakes very easy, because snot happens. Do not come in and tap your gay little fingure at me and tell me that I gave you stupid ugly boyfriend attitude and wrote your rent check out wrong and I don't know how to do my job when YOUR dumb gay boyfriend doesn't know how to spell it. It's ok I can fix it. (I'm not gay bashing... just don't be a jerk)
- Smiling when you don't mean it, really isn't that hard.
- Again, I'm human sometimes every couple of hours I need a bathroom break don't get up in my business because I was gone for 4 mintues. You'll survive I promise.
- Shower: (shou'er) verb: to bathe oneself in a shower. Learn it, use it, than for gosh sakes SHOWER... getting wet in the rain doesn't count! and we have a BIG problem if you can't smell yourself sweetie. Because you have some stink going on sir!
- Do you really think that it was a good idea to cash your pay check when it is over a few thousand dollars and then go walking around downtown Salt Lake City? Because if you feel safe, I will take it upon myself to introduce you to some very dishonest people. (i.e. Mr. Nascar)
Other than some quite colorful people (not a racial comment). I really do enjoy my job and I feel very grateful to have a job that is relatively good paying in a bad econmy and knowing that I am doing better than other people.. kinda some job security there.
